I have capex values (named capex1, capex2.capex12) and want to generate tariff costs (capfee1, capfee2.capfee3) based on a desirable rate of return (named reqrateofretun) I then want my results to appear in a table at the bottom of my inputs sheet.

You may need to tinker with this as I couldnt immediately see how you planned to increment the capex but it should help get you started.

When you need to do this type of analysis, you use Excels Goal Seek feature to find the input values needed to achieve the desired goal.

Then indicate the target value you want the formula to return as well as the location of the input value that Excel can change to reach this target.

Because cell B7 is the active cell when you open this dialog box, the Set Cell text box already contains the cell reference B7.

You then click in the To Value text box and enter 525000 as the goal.
